That 70’s look

I have two clear designer diseases. First, I collect an unholy amount of fonts. If you have a website that offers free commercial fonts, I will stay there all day or until every font is downloaded, maybe twice. The other equally disease is palettes. If I had a penny for each palette I have copied or downloaded then I would have, well, a bunch of pennies. Point is, it’s a satisfying addiction.

I want to make some retro t-shirts. Also, I would like to take a moment to say, since I lived during that time I don’t consider it retro. It makes me feel old. Anyway, I was on the hunt for something in the ’70s. I saw a lot of the same browns and reds that you would expect. I came across a site that I think did a great job showing the colors and keeping them to a minimum per palette.

The post on this site is called, 14 Best 70s Color Palettes with HEX Codes Included.

Each palette is accompanied by a picture to put the colors into context. I suggest if you are in the market for a retro pallet that is not just the normal chocolate and harvest gold give this post a try.

Happy designing and stay safe out there!
